What is TOPSTREAM?

TOPSTREAM is a video sharing app designed for competitive entertainers and streamers. The app allows users to upload and record videos straight from the platform. Users can drag and drop their content onto their account and classify their video’s as friendly or mature. TOPSTREAM allows users to upload and share videos to multiple platforms, as well as live stream. Users and viewers can create playlists for their own videos and a mix of other user’s videos.

Users do not have a time limit for their videos and the app allows users and viewers to upload and view content without charge. Viewers can view the top streamers from the app to see who is at the top from live streaming to uploaded content. Viewers can comment on uploaded content and livestreams without worrying about their comments being monetized, as well as the user uploading their content.

TOPSTREAM is subversive from other video sharing apps because they do not remove unfriendly content, viewers can comment without their comments being reported. Users and viewers can upload content on other social media platforms and when making an account, users and viewers can take an optional survey about what type of content they enjoy.

What is the Visual Feel?

TOPSTREAM is designed in a way for users to feel relaxed. The theme colors of the app are designed for users to feel comfort while browsing through a darker colored app. The TOPSTREAM logo is neon blue and pink, while the background of the app is dark blue and black. While browsing through social media apps, users may feel uneasy due to the brightness of the app’s background color. The solution for that is to use a dark mode for users to feel more relaxed as they browse the app. The goal for TOPSTREAM is to give users an app they feel comfortable browsing by using darker colors.

Goals, Objectives, and Target Audience

The objective is to create a video sharing app that is different from current video sharing apps and allows viewers to explore content they enjoy and users to upload content without it being removed. The goal is to create a successful video sharing app through successful app research, wire-framing and prototyping, and design. The visual objective and goals are to provide users with a comforting experience by using darker colors than most social media apps.

The target audience is for teens and young adults, due to possible mature content.
